Presentation of the Competition
The International Lyceum Club of Switzerland Music Competition was founded in 1935 at the initiative of two musicians, members of the Lyceum Club, Mrs. Juliette Decrousaz, pianist, and Mrs. Bernet-Strübin, singer. The competition, in the course of years, has been devoted to a variety of instruments and has thus given birth to the carrier of many young musicians. The forthcoming edition of the contest in 2012 will be dedicated to various ensembles, featuring string or wind players, with or without piano and ranging from duo to quintet.
